The AS modules are:
- Foundation – This covers a wide variety of general topics.
- Human Health and Disease – A study of aspects of good and bad health including diet; different types of disease and immunity.
- Transport – In animals and plants
- Practical Investigation – this is like an extended Science 1 Investigation.
The A2 modules are:
- Central Concepts – Another general module with a variety of topics, including respiration, photosynthesis, genetics, co-ordination.
- Mammalian Physiology and Behaviour – This is the optional module and includes nutrition; support and locomotion; the nervous system; sense organs and behaviour.
- Practical Investigation.
The written examinations will have questions form the compulsory parts of the course.
