This course is designed to allow you to gain personal satisfaction and a positive experience from working with a variety of materrials. The coursework allows you to work on individual ideas, being both creative and innovative.

Both AS and A2 consider various aspects of textiles design, such as

• Materials and components
• Design and market influences
• Processes and manufacture

To aid the design process you will use inspiration mood boards and designer sketchbooks.  You will also analyse the working and aesthetic characteristics of a range of materials and surface decoration techniques.
